My stay at the Russell Guest House was a mixed experience. The location was fabulous, being right in the heart of Brighton and just a short walk to the beach. However, the service left much to be desired, specifically due to the lack of staff on-site and some issues with communication. The room was basic but served its purpose for resting after a day out, though I did encounter some minor maintenance problems.

I had mixed feelings about my stay. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the city and close to the beach. but the room conditions left much to be desired. It was quite evident that the standards could use some improvement.
Rooms

The room was in poor condition with mildew in the bathroom and dirty carpet. The bed was uncomfortable, especially for taller individuals like myself. There was also a broken window hinge that fell if I opened it.
Service

There seemed to be a lack of on-site staff to assist when issues arose. I experienced difficulties with accessing my room and received only partial help when I reached out for support.

I enjoyed some good Indian food nearby, which was a nice addition to my stay.
Facilities

The hotel had a lot of stairs and was sometimes noisy due to nearby pubs. Wi-Fi connection was also spotty.

My stay at the Lifestyle Hotel - Russell Square was quite disappointing. The pre-check-in process was chaotic. with no response to my inquiries, which set a negative tone for my visit. Despite its close proximity to the beach and shopping mall, the experience was marred by safety concerns and customer service issues.

My stay was quite frustrating overall. Though the location was great, right in the city center and near the sea front, the service was a total letdown. I faced multiple issues during my stay that really impacted my experience.

I booked a twin room, but it felt more like a hostel than a guest house. The room was basic and had a few problems like a broken chair and an unreliable electric socket. I expected a bit more for the amount I paid.
Service
5.0
The service was lacking. There was no one to greet me, and when I arrived, the check-in process was a hassle with demands for ID that I didn't have ready. This should’ve been communicated earlier. It felt really unprofessional.
Location

I really loved the location. It’s right in the center and close to everything you want to see in Brighton. I could easily explore the area without any trouble.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast options were pretty basic, and I was really disappointed to find out it wasn’t the good selection I’d hoped for. Just some standard coffee and tea.
Facilities

The guest house had limited facilities, really feeling more like a budget spot than anything else. The lack of attention to safety, with messy extension leads everywhere, was also concerning.
